A native of
Virginia,
Mary Rae
graduated from Boston University. While in Boston, Mary studied flute with Michelle Sahm, and voice with Jocelyn Alaimo and Clara Shear. She later studied piano with Alice Kay McFarland. Mary is also a poet, formerly editor of Romantics Quarterly, and an artist. Links to recent performances, as well as to her poetry and art are below.
